Aflex Technology Slide Awarded Guinness World Record

600 metres long, 6 million stitches and weighing in at over 6 tonnes…a custom waterslide designed and manufactured by Aflex has been awarded the longest waterslide in the world by Guinness World Records!

Jimi Hunt, from New Zealand charity Live More Awesome, came to Aflex with a dream of creating the world’s longest waterslide. With our design and manufacturing expertise, we were able to bring Jimi’s dream to life.

On 10 July, 2015, Guinness World Records verified that the Aflex waterslide, now awaiting certification to be set up in Action Park (New Jersey, USA) is the longest on earth. Riders are propelled across multiple slopes on a journey more than half a kilometre long, landing in a large splash pool. Water pumps out at a rate of nearly 4,000 litres per hour, filled with a cushion of air from 15 independent blowers.

The slide has been featured by USA Today, Australasian Leisure Management and Travel Channel’s Xtreme Waterparks series has created a full episode on the manufacture and testing of our world record slide!
